Original Comic Art!

In case you're not familiar with the Web-Slinger's comic book history, in the 1970s, Marvel added what became, more or less, a second Spider-Man book to the line-up, Marvel Team-Up. Like other titles such as The Brave and The Bold (starting in the late 1960s) and DC Comics Presents, Marvel Team-Up featured a superhero (usually Spider-Man) teaming up with another Marvel character!

Next, we have a page from the second Superman/Spider-Man team-up book! Whereas the first one was basically prepared by DC Comics, the second one had the ball in Marvel's court, and it was published as Marvel Treasury Edition 28.

Here's page 48, art by John Buscema. And yes, Spider-Man's not on this page. I know that.

  1. Is it just me, or does the art look very George Tuska on this page? Nah, it's just me.

  2. Well, there's a whole thing about the artwork for Superman Vs. Spider-Man that's been discussed ad infinitum, but I'm trying to stay out of that...
