Here's a box of "Fun Visors," sun visors with licensed characters on 'em, including Spider-Man!
And here's a Spider-Man Give-A-Show Slide! I'm a huge Give-A-Show Projector fan (as you know if you follow the Give-A-Show Blog! If you're not familiar with it, it's basically a slide projector that runs on three size "D" batteries, and you'd insert a slide strip (as seen above) into the projector to watch on a convenient wall! They came out in 1960, and the line lasted until the early 80s. I think this one came from 1967 or 1968.
I have no idea if this was licensed or not... I suspect not, because of having Spider-Man in there with Superman and Batman! This looks like the Fisher-Price TV toy that you'd wind up, and as the picture scrolled past, the lenticular lens cover would make it appear as though there was movement in the picture!
Next, here's the Spider-Man Flip-It toy, which I remember seeing advertised in Gold Key comics!
Here's the second release of Aurora's Spider-Man model kit, as part of the Comic Scenes line. Sometime in the future, I should have the original release's box, and maybe even a professionally assembled and painted kit to show you here!
I have been a Navy journalist, word processor, graphic designer, medical assisting student, cook, and truck driver, and am currently an eBay seller as well as an employee at a big retail store. I have been and always will be into comics, sf, tv, cartoons, monsters, oldies rock, and lots of other stuff.
